@SG...This temple was opened to the devotees in 4th of June 1998....His Holiness Sri Jayendra Saraswati,Sankaracharya of Kanchi Kanukoti Peetam (Tamil-Nadu) feilt that it was desirable to built a Balaji temple in Guwahati for the peace and prosperity of the people of north-east region of our country.

Wow, only learnt recently that there is a Tirupati Balaji Temple in Ghy although I am from Ghy!!. Wow wow! Hope to go there soon.
